Any therapy or treatment programme needs your determination and commitment to achieve the best success. You have to want to make changes. Hypnotherapy might seem - and sometimes feel - almost magical but it is your commitment, determination and willingness to engage with the process that, when combined with hypnotherapy, makes it so immensely powerful and effective.
For most conditions the approach will be an initial consultation followed by a series of hypnotherapy sessions. Please take a look below to see what you can expect to happen in each appointment type. The number of sessions required varies as no two clients, conditions or set of circumstances are the same and you progress at your own speed.
You can expect all information to be treated confidentially and with respect. As a member of the CNHC and NCH I adhere to their codes of conduct and ethics, details of which can be found here:
Most of all, you can expect to be met with a warm, friendly and non-judgemental welcome, and to be treated in a respectful and professional manner.
The initial consultation is an opportunity for you to determine if hypnotherapy is the right approach for you. No hypnosis takes place in this session.
It allows us to have a relaxed conversation so you can get to know me and I can understand what you want to achieve from your sessions. I'll also tell you more about hypnotherapy works and answer any questions you may have.
After the initial consultation, I'll provide you with a relaxation recording for you to listen to at home, at no additional cost and with no obligation to book further sessions.
These relaxed and enjoyable hypnotherapy sessions will last up to an hour. They combine psychotherapy with hypnosis to help you determine the next step towards your goal, reinforce that positive step and your ability to take it.
Smoking cessation is covered in a single 90 minute to 2 hour session including an explanation of how hypnotherapy will help you to stop smoking, psychotherapy and hypnosis.
You will also be given a free hypnotherapy audio to listen to for support as long as you feel necessary after the session.
Hypnotherapy sessions can be provided in in person or online and provided you are committed and willing to make changes to the way you think, can be highly effective. The treatment programme needs both your and my commitment to succeed so, for this reason, I can't guarantee success.
